Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we get asked most often.

What file formats do you accept?

We accept .STL, .STEP, and .STP files. STEP/STP files are automatically converted to STL before quoting, so you don't need to convert anything yourself.

What materials are available?

We currently print in five FDM thermoplastics: Basic PLA, Durable PETG, Flexible TPU, Tough ABS, and Engineering Nylon. Each is priced individually based on density and material cost.

How is my price calculated?

Your quote is generated instantly from your model's actual geometry - volume, dimensions, chosen material, infill density, and scale all factor into the price the moment you upload a file. There's no manual review needed for standard orders.

What infill options do you offer?

Standard (15%) for typical prototypes and display parts, Strong (50%) for parts that need to handle real mechanical stress, and Solid (100%) for maximum strength and rigidity.

Do you offer bulk or volume discounts?

Yes - orders of 10-24 units get 10% off, 25-49 units get 15% off, and 50+ units get 20% off. High-volume orders are automatically routed to our engineering desk for manual scheduling and custom pricing rather than instant checkout.

What's your typical turnaround time?

Most orders begin printing within 24-48 hours of payment and typically finish production in another 48-72 hours, depending on part complexity and current queue volume. Shipping is via UPS Ground on top of that.

What's the maximum part size you can print?

Our standard quoting engine supports parts up to 256 x 256 x 256mm. If your part is larger than that, reach out directly and we'll see what's possible.

What dimensional tolerance can I expect?

Typical FDM tolerance is about ±0.1mm, though exact results depend on part geometry, material, and orientation on the print bed.

Do you offer resin or SLA printing?

Not yet - we currently print exclusively in FDM thermoplastics. Resin / VAT polymerization printing is planned for the future.

Can I cancel my order after paying?

Yes, as long as your order hasn't entered our "Ready to Print" production queue yet. Once your parts are staged for printing, we're no longer able to cancel, so reach out as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order.

How is shipping calculated?

We calculate a live UPS Ground rate based on the actual package dimensions your order will ship in, using your destination zip code. This is recalculated securely at checkout, not just estimated.

Is sales tax included in my quote?

Applicable sales tax is calculated automatically at checkout based on your shipping address. You'll see an estimate before you pay, but the final amount is confirmed at the payment step.
